Maui

Well, I've been in Maui for a couple days now, and have been cut off from the internet until now. I got bored so i wrote this little poem in about 2 minutes while i was in a pool.

The palm trees
swaying in the breeze
I look to my left
I see the wide open seas
the scent of plumerias
drifting in the breeze
and I know there's only one place
I can be
the sun beating on my back
my feet make a little splash
in the warm waters of Maui

Sad and happy

I wrote this in a card for my Mom, she's moving to Idaho so she can be ready when I go to highschool there. Can't wait to see you this summer!

Now I'm sure I'll miss you
but remember, I'll always be with you.

I can't wait to join you,
and leave the sun for snow
but there's no rush,
take your time,
you're on speed dial, you know!

I love you to the moon and back,
and maybe pluto too,
remember
a hundred hearts would be too few
to carry all my love for you.

Can't wait to se you, mom! <3

New poem

okay, so I wrote this Thursday night (the 13th). I literally sat up in my bed, at 10:30 PM, grabbed a piece of paper, and scrawled (in my half-asleep handwriting) out this poem, then went back to bed. No, I was not depressed.

THE HURT

I'm in here alone
lying in my bed
there's no one to hold me
it's dark. I'm dead.
My misery unnoticed
nobody cares
I didn't have the strength
to scale life's stairs.

I'm sure there is light
if i were willing to find it
but my unsaveable soul
might be blinded by it.
All I can wait for
is for day to begin
but my torture never ceases
all I can pray for
is the end.

Ladybugs (based on a true experience)

One day i took a hike with my mom, and to my surprise, there were ladybugs EVERYWHERE. And I mean everywhere, every thing in sight was coated with a layer of red. This amazing experience inspired me to write this song.

LADYBUGS

ladybugs
ladybugs
everywhere
ladybugs
ladybugs
in the air

well today I took a hike
up my favorite trail
the sun beating on my baaack
I jog a little faster to a clear rolling creak
and what I see makes me do a double taake

ladybugs
ladybugs
everywhere
ladybugs
ladybugs
in the air

on the ground
on a branch
in the trees
little dots
of black and red
bringing good luck
to me

well I heard that in the US
they're omens of good luck
and then
one lands on my finger
I count the black spots on it's back
dot by dot
and to my luck I think it just might linger

I'm very careful to watch my step
because there's hundreds,
no, thousands,
no, millions on the ground
It's like the sun
decided to rain bright red
and the blood drops are all flying arouuund

Well just like they're little wings
the time just flies
and already
the sun has gone down
I say goodbye
to as many as I can count
but when I leave
they all
seem to
frooown

To this very day I never forget
when i took that fateful hike
and there where

ladybugs
ladybugs
everywhere
ladybugs
ladybugs
in the air

on the ground
on a branch
in the trees
little dots
of black and red
bringing good luck
too me

tell me what you think =)

A poem (and song)

okay, so I originally wrote this as a poem, but later gave it a melody turned it into a short song. It has been published in some book, you know, one of those "celebrate children's poetry" kinda thing. They thought this was good, so they put it in. I wrote this when I was 11

BROKEN MEMORY LANE

well today I took a stroll
in the back of my mind
just to see what was still there
but when I reached the chipped
and weathered gates
something forgotten was
in the air.

Along the path I see
little bits of broken glass
still shining
but in the ground
I touch some little bells
hanging of an olive tree
but where are their sound?
I guess things just aren't the same
on Broken Memory Lane

Two little white clay birds
that used to be blue
mold in the now
dried up fountain
I stop in a grassy clearing to
admire the view
but all the trees are gone from the mountain
As I walk a little hoo-la-hoop
starts rolling towards me
but where are all it's colors?
I guess things really have changed
down Broken Memory Lane

hope you liked it =)

First song i ever wrote

I wrote this when I was 11. It's a country song, and these are the lyrics.

CALL YOU MINE

Sittin' in my room brushing my hair
a hundred times
put on my new gloss
feeling good that my lips shiiiine
and i can't help but wondering
if everything's been right this year
without youuuu.

*strum strum strum*

I finally put away the glasses
get on contacts and new clothes
my mind is racin' heart is thumpin' though
no bod knowes
about us
maybe getting back
togee-eetherrr

I finally walk into the night and you're by the street light
I'm looking at you
I say it's gonna be alright
and you're lookin' at me
like you've seen me
for the first time
since i could call you miine

CHORUS
sorry we ever broke up
now i understand you
been waitin'
all along since it was me and you
for the tiiime
wheeen
agaain i can
call you mine

*strum strum strum strum strum*

So now we're sittin' on a bench
just talking to eacho-otherrr
for us it's so eas-ay
one thing just comes out
af-ter anoother
And I can't help but feelin that
this is the way
it's been
suppoosed too beee

I finally stop it with the sweet talk
say "who are you da-ting right now?"
then you say "no one cuz after you I just didn't know how
cuz no one
can compaare
toooo
youu
then you stare off into the night
and I look past the streetlight
you're face is glowin'
lit up like it could last all night
this is fiiine
I haven't felt this way
since I could call you miine

CHORUS

and I haven't bothered to come up with a 3rd verse yet. tell me what you think of it
